How Green Is my Heart?

I don’t believe to be a “green person” at all, but environmental problems are something I’m worry about. For example, I never throw to the ground the butt of my cigarette when I smoke, or I prefer to use my bike instead a car. I also have attended to public protest related with environmental issues, like protest against Hidro Aysen. I know this is not a big thing, but I think small actions could change the world if all people do it (sadly, so much people don’t do it.)

In my home, we recycle the newspaper after read it. We throw it in a container that is near of our home, and then an organization takes it to a recycling plant.

I have never supported eco-organizations, basically because I don’t have enough money to do it. But if I had money, I think I would do it.

I think another thing I would like to do is to plant a tree in my home. Actually, once I planted a little bean plant, but it dried up (so sad).

All those things can help a little bit to the environment, but I thing that is not enough at all. I strongly believe the State has to guarantee to maintain the environment by laws to protect it. And also, the State has to promote environmental care through Education.
